Our Superintendent
This hospital was established in 1952 along with seventeen other hospitals managed by the Bureau of Military Medicine under the Ministry of National Defense. According to the Local United Medical Treatment Responsibility System of the Armed Forces, this hospital is to provide level 3 medical treatment and sanitation service, to be responsible for the health care of military personnel in the Hsinchu and Miaoli area, and also to cooperate with the National Health Insurance system in providing health care to local residents.
The hospital has passed the evaluation of the Department of Health, Executive Yuan, and is considered a local teaching hospital. A new state-of-the-art medical treatment building with comfortable beds under the N.H.I. system and single VIP wards plus spacious parking was inaugurated on July 8, 1996. On March 17, 2003, the hospital had opened its psychiatric wards with professional psychiatrists and specialists, nurses, and outstanding facilities.
“Service First, Patients First” is our guiding spirit. We endeavor to improve quality enhance professional training, and set up patient-driven service systems To make this hospital more community-friendly, we continue to provide long-term nursing care services such as day care, home nursing, and a nursing home. We also provide the community with health and disease prevention education. Furthermore, the hospital is computerized to improve management efficiency. All of our efforts are directed at archiving our goal of providing members of the armed forces and their dependents as well as the general public with the best health in the Hsinchu-Miaoli area.
